Job Description:
Reporting to the production supervisor, this position is responsible for the operation, maintenance and record keeping of the concrete mixer/batch plant. In addition to operating and maintaining the mixer, employee will also assist with the coordination of daily activities such as: ordering rock, sand, cement and admixture for use in concrete mix. Operates concrete mixer to batch materials used in hollow core planks. Manage controls to heat, cool, weigh and mix aggregate, cement and water to produce consistent and quality concrete. May require the ability to repair machinery, using hand and power tools.
Job Duties:
Ensure mixer and bullet are clean and continually remain in safe and efficient operating condition
Maintain adequate materials such as rock, sand cement and admixture and fly ash
Ensure concrete mixes meet 100% total quality requirements; complete all required reports timely and accurately; inform proper personnel of any quality problem that need resolving
Maintain accurate and current reports as required
Monitor batch plant cleanliness
Work with the maintenance department on all preventative maintenance of the mixer/batch plant; perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
Have aggregate bins fill and ready for production daily
Ensure that all company safety regulations and policies are followed at all time
Required Skills:
Thorough knowledge of all aspects of concrete batching technology, equipment, method and safety is required
Working computer knowledge; including applicable Microsoft software
Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
Must be able to handle multiple task in a fast-paced environment
Required Experience:
3 to 5 years concrete batching experience
NOTE: This position also performs other duties as required by management. During busy periods, Coreslab may require employees to work extended hours. Overtime is considered a condition of employment at the time of need. Refusal to accept it when reasonable notice has been given is cause for disciplinary action including termination.
